Health requirements for Practical Nursing students
The following Health Requirements apply to ALL Practical Nursing students enrolled in day or evening classes.
- A physician or CRNP (Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner) must complete a physical examination form.
The examination must be dated within 12 months of the start of any clinical rotation.
- TB (PPD) testing
Individuals with positive Tuberculin screening tests must have a chest x-ray, physician certification, or symptom review indicating active Tuberculosis is not present.
Proof of the following Immunizations:
- MMR
- Varicella (or a physician documentation of varicella)
- Hepatitis B (3 injections, first injection must be before clinical begins) AND Reactive antibody titer
- Seasonal Influenza vaccine OR exemption (October 1 through March 31 ONLY)
